THE PROBLEM
Chronological age tell us how long someone has lived not how well their body still performs.
Functional decline begins discreetly, years before it becomes visible.
Loss of maximum isometric strength (i.e. dynapenia) have been reported as a relevant marker of health. However, motor power appears to be a more sensitive and relevant marker, although it lacks a practical approach for large-scale measurement.
